What the calculator does — and doesn't do

The calculator estimates annual take-home pay using published CRA and provincial tax brackets, basic personal amounts, and CPP/QPP and EI rates for the selected tax year. It is designed to land in a realistic range of your actual after-tax income.

It does not:

Data sources

Tax bracket and rate data is sourced from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec. We update figures as new rates are published, but rates can change and errors can occur. If you spot something that looks wrong, please tell us.
